Amazing Twin - Grown Alone EP now available for purchase

Apr 5

Grown Alone, the second release from Denver's Amazing Twin is now available for purchase in our webstore in both CD and mp3 formats. The CDs come in limited-edition packaging silk-screened by the band.

About the record:
While technically just an EP in length, Grown Alone sure feels like an ALBUM. It's very apparent that Amazing Twin had that concept in mind during its creation, which is lost on far too many records today. It flows seamlessly throughout using lyrical ideas, intricate rhythmic and atmospheric elements, and the catchy, chiming guitars for which the quartet has come to be known. It's a truly polished record without ever feeling stale or manufactured. Start to finish, Grown Alone is an exercise in songwriting and craftsmanship.

Hot Congress Records Turns Two. Let's Party!

Apr 2

We can hardly believe it ourselves, but it's been two years since the release of our first record, Achille Lauro's Indiscretions. Since then we’ve released over a dozen albums, EPs, 7 inch records, and singles from some of our favorite bands/artists/people in Denver. Now personally we’re not big on reflection – we’d rather celebrate an anniversary like this with a party. Or even better, four parties!

The Don'ts and Be Carefuls unveil new video for "So Money"

Mar 14

Here's the new video from the Don'ts and Be Carefuls for their song "So Money" from the Sun Hits EP. The premise behind the video is simple yet effective, as explained by DBCs drummer Luke Hunter James-Erickson, "We were invited to play a fan/little-brother-in-law's Bar Mitzvah, and we couldn't pass up the opportunity. Our friend and past DBCs member Dane Bernhardt and his production team at Crazy Horse Studios documented the evening, and this video is a result."

The Skeleton Show "White Buzzard Video"

Mar 7

If you weren't on hand for the premiere of The Skeleton Show's brand new video at Bender's Tavern last Friday never fear, we've got your back. The video for the song "White Buzzard" was filmed a couple months ago at the oh-so-delicious ice cream shop Sweet Action, and it looks like it is possibly the most fun video shoot to have ever happened. Ice cream fight + fake blood = complete mayhem.
