If you find yourself flying Delta Airlines this February you may hear a familiar voice on one of its in-flight radio stations. Indie-pop sextet Hindershot has had its song “Rain Fare” selected to appear on the “SonicBids and Noise Pop Indie Showcase” station on Delta Airlines in-flight radio. The song was one of twelve songs selected for the station and will be played throughout the month of February alongside tracks by the likes of The Dodos, Port O’Brien, Bears, and Birds & Batteries.

2011 is here, and various members of Hot Congress are volunteering up lists of their favorite music, art, movies, and other cultural ephemera from the year that was 2010. Today’s list of favorite comics and grapchi novels of the year comes courtesy of Justin Couch, one half of the timekeeping duo for Lil Slugger as well as co-curator of The Movie Advocate.

We've known of Eric Peterson's impending musical hiatus for some time now, but that doesn't make the news much easier to take. Peterson's been a fixture of the Denver music scene for nearly five years now, playing in bands such as Houses, Amazing Twin, I Am the Dot, and his solo project, Roger, Roll, who will be playing their final show this Saturday at the Hi-Dive. Below is the email we received from Eric about his reasons for taking a break from music as well as his intentions to focus more of his time on web site development.
