Colfax Speed Queen added to Treefort Music Festival Lineup

Last month we told you that The Blue Rider would be playing Treefort Music Festival in Boise, and now Colfax Speed Queen has been added to the bill as well. The third and final wave of artists announced includes a host of Denver bands (including Ned Garthe, featuring Garthe, Stuart Confer, and Spence Alred, all formerly of the recently defunct Hindershot) in addition to some new headliners like Mount Eerie, The Cave Singers, Gift of Gab, the Budos Band, Nurses, and many more.

Distant Correspondent contributes theme song for the Goddamn Dave Hill Show on WFMU

Distant Correspondent has contributed the appropriately titled "The Goddamn Theme for the Goddamn Dave Hill Show," a brand new weekly radio show on WFMU hosted by the titular "comedian, writer, musician, thinking man, author, man-about-town, and highly boneable public figure." Just three weeks into its run, Hill has already wrangled interviews with the likes of Phil Anselmo, Jon Benjamin, and Kevin Allison all while hosting listener calls, handing out the occasional (inadequate) medical advice, and spinning an expansive set list where Glen Campbell unironically exists alongside The Stooges
