Hot Congress Records is joining Black Paint Music and Super Duper Records, both out of New York, for a day-long SXSW showcase. Hindershot, Achille Lauro, and The Outfit will be joining more than a dozen other great bands at Shakespeare's on 6th on Friday, March 15th.

It's only been a short time since the GNU:Experience Gallery has been operating in its humble underground space in downtown Fort Collins but the art gallery/music venue has already become an indispensible part of Colorado's art and music community. Besides hosting hundreds of Colorado bands over the 20 months or so, the venue has begun attracting a host of national talent, like Ty Segall, Delicate Steve, Orca Team, and a bunch of others that you can read about on the GNU's 2012 recap.

For every holiday season starting in 2010, Kissing Party has released an all original avant-garde Christmas carol; and they continue this year with "Dale Voorhies," another morose, if not livelier tune.
The song is named in tribute to lead singer Gregg Dolan's best friend's dad, who lives in Ohio.
