Though Roger, Roll has been dormant for over two years, frontman Eric Peterson has been anything but--playing in Houses, Old Radio, producing a live compilation of Denver bands, and providing the soundtrack to a weekly stop-motion project. On July 16th, Peterson will release Polaroid in Reverse under the name Roger, Roll at the Hi-Dive. Joining the band, now reformed and seven members strong, will be Hello Kavita and the Lumineers.
Polaroid in Reverse explores the relationship between memory, documentation, and separation through a confessional mixture of ambient guitar and keyboard arrangements a la Sigur Ros and the candid pop sensibilities of Wilco. The 2-song record, the first of Hot Congress' new 7" series, will be available on clear, lathe cut vinyl (limited to 50) and as a digital download available on a name-your-own-price basis directly from rogerroll.net.
