Talented trumpet player and all-around nice guy Joshua Trinidad has written a soundtrack for a series of images by famed photographer Chris Buck. The album will be called BUCK, and if the music in the promo video is anything to go by, it's gonna be great. Here's an excerpt from the press release:
“BUCK is an album that takes the listener not only on a sonic journey, but is rooted in the beauty and artistry of each photo. Some of the photos for this collaborative project include Chris’s work with Björk, Robert Kennedy Jr, and many others. For a trumpeter and photographer to work together in creating a project such as this is beyond unique."
The pre-release party will be Friday, March 9th, 9:00pm at the Larimer Lounge in Denver. There, you'll be able to hear Joshua play, as well as hearing sets from Faceman, The Foot, and Greenery Book Club. By attending the show, you'll be helping to fund the album's production and release. You can also donate to BUCK's Kickstarter page:
or at Josh's website:
Rewards for donating include early mixes of the songs, copies of Buck's photographs, an early release of the album, music videos, a documentary about the collaboration, a mention of your name in the liner notes, and even a full live performance of the album where- and whenever you want! This last option only costs $2,000—a steal.
