Distant Correspondent's debut self-titled record is out today

Distant Correspondent's debut self-titled record is available today! The album, which Magnet Magazine compared to "Joy Division if Ian Curtis had been on anti-depressants" began as a songwriting collaboration between David Obuchowski (of Brooklyn metal band Goes Cube) and multi-instrumentalist Michael Lengel after Obuchowski moved to Colorado. The album also heavily features vocals from Edith Frost (Drag City Records) and spoken-word from Emily Gray, formerly of UK post-rock band Meanwhile Back in Communist Russia. With those contributions, Vice's Noisey music blog called Distant Correspondent "a super group in the alternate universe where people have good taste."
